The
welding heat is generated in a thin metal strip heater through current
impulse (resistance heating). The welding temperature can be adjusted
precisely. This process is characterised by rapid strip heater cooling.
Elevated weld quality is assured by subsequent cooling under pressure.
This process is particularly suitable for thermoplastic films and
fleeces (up to approx. 2 x 0.8 mm) and for hot-melt glue activation.
Outlined strip heaters extend the field of application.
